Value Stream Mapping - 2-day course
Value Stream Mapping is a lean management method for analyzing the current state and designing a future state for the series of events that take a product or service from its beginning through to the customer. Learn to analyze and improve the flow of information or material required to produce a product or service.
As a result of this training you should be able to:
  • Recognize the different symbols used for Value Stream Mapping
  • Develop current state maps
  • Categorize operations and make product matrices
  • Develop future State Maps
  • Identify the different major elemental parts of a Value Stream Mapping
  • Use the Value Stream Mapping to identify needed Kaizen events
  • A step-by-step development of current and future state value stream maps
  • Link waste of cost savings
  • Know how VSM can be used for improvement initiatives
  • Be able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the workplace
Prerequisites: Lean Principles, Business Process Mapping
